Denver Sailing Association will be hosting the 2025 Rocky Mountain Shootout/Hornblower Regatta on May 17 - 18, 2025. This event will also be a qualifier for the 2025 Mallory Cup which will be held in Park City, Utah on September 26 – 28, 2025. Rocky Mountain SAIL will be hosting their April seminar on "Racing 101". Melissa Gorchynsky from @Community Sailing of Colorado will hold a discussion of the basic principles of sailboat racing including starts, right of way, and mark roundings. Information about the Colorado sailing clubs and events will also be available. This is a perfect introduction to those who have little to no racing experience and want to get into racing this season.![]()

"This year the Mallory Cup will be held in Park City, Utah, September 26 – 28, 2025. The Mallory Cup is the national adult sailing championship, sponsored by US Sailing. Competitors throughout the US participate in a round robin format providing three days of challenging racing. Competitors sail boats that are provided by the host club. The boat chosen this year is the J-22. Each team is assigned a different boat for each race. To participate in the Mallory Cup all of the members of the team must all be members of US Sailing.![]()

S.A.I.L. will be sponsoring an entry team from the region. To qualify to represent S.A.I.L. you must be a member of S.A.I.L. and participate in the Qualifier Series by racing in three regattas in a J-22. The three regattas comprising the Qualifier Series are:![]()
