2011 Colorado Gov’s Cup Another Great Success!
We enjoyed a weekend of interesting weather for sailboat racing, with light air, 75-degree temperatures, a pair of rain squalls on Saturday, and brilliant sunshine on Sunday. 18 dinghies joined 24 keelboats and got in up to 5 races, depending on class, over the weekend.

We want the thank our sponsors Peepers Optical, Littleton Heating and Air, AuctionBySeller.com and the Cherry Creek Marina as well as Dry Dock Brewery for the two kegs of beer and goodies for the skippers bags and Famous Dave’s BBQ for Saturday night’s dinner and goodies for the skippers bags as well. Many thanks to the sponsors that donated items for the raffle: West Marine, The New Anchorage, Community Sailing of Colorado, She Edison, and Xterra Wetsuits. Thank you to Ameriprise Financial for all the bottled water for both the competitors as well as the volunteers. And finally thank you to all of the volunteers for helping to make this a successful regatta. We must not forget our big winners for the regatta Max Williams, who won the Dinghy Trophy, and Fred Wolf, who won the Governors Cup. Results here. Here is a Racing Recap.
And sincere thanks to Regatta Chair and Vice Commodore Curtis Rist for all his good work in planning, organizing, and running the regatta, and to Commodore Jim Ulatowski and Social Director Francine Hoffman for a most entertaining awards ceremony on Sunday.
