Having trouble with our site?
Possible causes
If you're looking at this page, you probably know that operating systems, browsers, and hardware vary in their displays of web pages. Different monitors and their settings will render absolutely-positioned or -sized elements differently. Different browser programs vary in their compliance to W3C standards.
What you should see
The H1 page heading is styled to be in an "Arial Black" font, 26 pixels high, centered & have a light blue background. The H2 section headings should be in Arial Black, red, centered, 24 pixels. Ordinary text, such as this paragraph, should be in Arial or other sans-serif font, 16 pixels high.
You should see a "banner" at the top; it contains the Club burgee on the left & the Club name, location & motto centered through the remaining width. You should also see a vertical navigation bar with links along the left side.
We're still evolving the site design, so there may be changes in the display of some elements. We appreciate your patience with us as we fine-tune.
Technology
This site is built with SSI (server-side includes) and other PERL commands. It makes extensive use of CSS 2.1 for layout and formatting. Absolute positioning is relied on only as a last resort.
The banner, navbar & content are placed with divisions ("divs") defined in the CSS file, rather than table cells, & called by SSI commands as the page is loaded to your browser by the server.
We've tried to avoid obvious problems, but we haven't tested the site on all browser, operating system & hardware combinations. If you see something that doesn't work right, please email our webtender.

In your message, be sure to mention the site, www.denversailing.org, the page's file name and the problem with the feature that isn't working. We'll see if we can't fix it.
Broken Links?
We know how frustrating it is to try to follow a link, only to get a "Page not found" error because someone reorganized the site or it went away. We appreciate any reports of broken links. We'll try to track those little guys down & repair the links.
We appreciate your feedback. Thanks!!
