The Coronado 15 (C-15) has proven to be an exceptional design for
those who want to experience sailing
and/or racing in the Rocky Mountain Region. Our fleet was formed in
1974 and is a member fleet of the
Denver Sailing Association. We also conduct our own program of
activities throughout the year. With an
active fleet of C-15’s in the Colorado area, the Colorado Coronado’s
host regattas, pot-luck dinners, beach
Bar-B-Q’s, sailing seminars, and winter get togethers. Our proposed
2002 racing schedule includes events
hosted by the Denver Sailing Association as well as events that we
will host on our own. Racing events will
be located in the Denver area as well as on Union Reservoir near
Longmont. |

The Coronado 15 is a one-design centerboard sailboat, manufactured by
Catalina Yachts. She is 15 feet long,
and weighs 385 pounds. She has 139 square feet of sail, and is easily
trailered. Her speed is exceptional, and
she planes easily. A trapeze is available for added ease in handling.
The boat has a completely self-bailing
cockpit. Built of hand-lay fiberglass, she is easily maintained. Local
dealership support of the Coronado 15 is
available through the Anchorage Boat Sales and there are a number of
used Coronado 15’s available in the
